Hi! I’m Chin-Jou, a first-year Master’s student (MIIS) at the Language Technologies Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. I was initially drawn to computer science by the idea of applying it to other fields to help make people’s lives better. My interests center around improving understanding and communication between people, which naturally leads me to explore a wide range of areas.

These days, I’m most excited about the role of language in that process — whether through speech technologies, translation, or multilingual systems.
